Installing Windows 7 from USB

just found the most simple way to make a bootable USB flash drive for windows installation..
I was facing errors like "Missing Operating System" ,etc..

The simple answer to usb booting is:

1. Extract windows installation files to usb root.

2. Make USB drive bootable by running this:
      BOOTSECT.EXE /nt60 X: /force /mbr
where x: is your usb flash drive.

AirPrint Installation Error

Error:

While trying to install Air-print service on my PC [so that I can print to my regular printer from my ipad],
more info here and here & download link here

Task Manager > Services > Right click "Airprint" > Start Service >

 I got this error:

The operation could not be completed.
The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

And if I try to start airprint.exe manually I get a CMD window with:

Listening for connections on 0.0.0.0:631...
Unable to remove "C:\DOCUME~1\User\IMPOST~1\Temp\/cupslite/cupslite" - No such file or directory
XpdfPrint library version = 3.02.33

Solution:

Install Bonjour.

it is included with the iTunes installer, If you don't want to install the whole thing you can extract the iTunes installer and install Bonjour64.msi only.

GM Tech2 Diagnostic Tool cable pinout.....

After what seemed like a decade of hard work....
I -finally- found the correct pinout for the RS232 to RJ45 cable that connects the tech2 to my PC

here is the full story :-)

Basically only three pins are really required; they are

 RS232 --  RJ45
    2       --      4
    3       --      5
    5       --      7

2,3,5 are the Receive, Send, Ground respectively..

Ccleaner Just Ruined My Day :-(

the item "session" is selected for cleaning by default
So I was cleaning my pc... you know.. reomving old stuff...
and I had to run ccleaner.. an app used for cleaning temp files all at once..

And I Wish I Didn't :-(

as it happened to be; I had like 100 tabs open in my last Firefox session...

and this stupid f%@!#& app deleted all of them :-(

it had the item "session" selected for cleaning by default
which deletes the last open windows and taps restore file...

I think it is a very stupid choice to select such an option for the user by default..!!!
that option just cost me a whole lot of work...

so..if you use this tool.. go right now and correct this wrong ;-|
before it bites you in the ass like it did me .. :-)

ps:it has the same option for multiple browsers...act accordingly..
